In the Dallas Metropolis Forum, members are getting excited about proposed skyscrapers being built in downtown Dallas. This being the case even though downtown Dallas has been shrinking as an office market for the last thirty years. Even though millions of square feet have been removed from the office market in the way of residential and hotel conversions, the vacancy has remained over 25%.
Dallas has never been about super tall skyscrapers, but about iconic retail centers and districts.
