Here is a copy of a leaflet created by me.  I handed it out during a campaign I held while attending college about sixteen years.

The many cultural events held in the college I was attending was a big distraction from my doing any work.  So, I attempted to look at the issue philosophically.  In other words, my argument was smarter than theirs.  What is Formal Culture is how Plato would have dealt with the question.  Socrates would have asked a lot more inducing questions to arrive at the same answer.

I made an attempt to answer this question myself.  Think of the five images of the progressing Native American above as Christ.  The whole scale above represents a dimensional truth split into five parts.  As the middle image of maturity is a transition, the first two images represents a gradation process towards maturity.  In contrast, the last two images represents a withering process towards prophecy.

During the time Christ was the Messiah, all of creation advanced towards maturity which is represented by the first two images above.  After Christ had finished fulfilling the prophecy -- He was made to come upon this earth to be with us in the flesh by the law -- He then rejected both the law within the temple and within the marketplace which, in this case, is represented by the last two images.  As I have mentioned often, the disciples did reject the temple, but they didn't understand enough to further reject the marketplace.  This time of rejection of the law by Christ represents His withering towards both the cross and the prophecy.

I was wrong about the formula at the bottom.  I have sense developed it better.  Many years have been spent by me developing this new American philosophy that I refer to as our American Civil Purpose.
